Going against the American values of high fructose corn syrup, bright and shiny objects, and just sittin on the couch with a bag of corn chips, the Naperville Public Library is offering programs to encourage healthy life styles for children and adults.
We found a local patron of the libraries and asked what he thought:
"This is... look, libraries, stick with the mind. Books, computers, those reading aloud things for the deaf folk, all fine. But my body is my temple and I like to fill that temple with Cheeze-its, okay. Just go all Mayan and sacrifice myself for the greater good, gorged and fed with the fat of the lamb. I work hard three, four hours a week and do not need anyone telling me how to live. F*&kin libraries should be working on getting my damn kid outta the Grand Theft Auto so I can play, you know?
And another thing, what's with the sick poor people getting health care? Damn, Obama.."
I think that sums it up pretty well, Naperville.
