Many a 90s child hid under the covers with a flashlight and a copy of Goosebumps, feverishly reading to find out how children like them could live through the evil apocalypse of monster that was soon to become our waking, American nightmare. Thanks to those books and their grown up, big sister series Fear Street that always lent it the coolest albums to listen to, we were prepared for the internet age, able to take in all random bullshit with the greatest of ease. And now the big sister is coming back.
Author R L Stine has announced he will be bringing back the Fear Street series, telling medium to mild salsa horror for a new generation. New to the series will be "cellular technology," "the facebooks," and of course, all the tubes of the Internet. Will the newer geneation be reading young adult tales of horror on their Kindle Pads? We shall see.
