Summary (Spoiler Alert)
Graff and Anderson are still arguing over how tough they are gonna be with Ender, finally deciding on “hella tough.”
Ender is promoted to command of his own army, mostly kids around his age or younger. Ender picks on a smart one named Bean who excels at the training. Then the games masters shut down his extra training classes and make him lead his crappy army but Ender’s all “ain’t gonna cry” even though he is cut off from everyone he was friendly with.
Okay, before now I have left the commentary in the questions, but now we are getting into some real shit and I felt it best to throw down with my own thoughts.
I do not think there are any “bugs.” There, I said it. We set up last chapter that this world can be easily manipulated so there we go. At some point Ender’s sister and brother are going to stumble upon the truth that the government has been using this “war games” thing as a way to placate the population and that there is not big space fleet thing.
Why do I think this? I live in the 21st century and have read too much scifi. This kind of twist is begging to happen. I also foresee a big change in Ender and Bean’s relationship, and not because I have already read ahead and know how they get along at the end of the next chapter. Nope. Don’t know squat about that.
- They say those that bully were bullied. Do you think that’s cool? Cause if you don’t, you suck worms.
- Did that last question hurt your feelings? Are you gonna cry?
- If you were put in charge of an army, would you go cry to your mama about it, little girl?
- Who IS your daddy?
