Bannville Police are asking anyone with information about the whereabouts of the Little Banned Library to come forward. A reward has been mentioned of an undisclosed sum for any relevant information that leads to the seizure of the model building and community project.
The Little Banned Library, a project started over a year ago by the former library board of directors, now inmates of the Banned County Correctional Facility, seems to have been used in a brutal murder of two people.
“We never thought it could do this,” one resident said, looking dejectedly at the empty post where the tiny library was mounted, “I mean, I put books in it three, four times a month. This month I was giving the gift of James Patterson. It really brought our community together.”
“It was quite,” another man said, “You just don’t know about some fads. Some fads just go bad.”
Librarian Evan Banned tells a different story, “Well, ever since it was used in a cult ceremony to bring forth some kind of 'dark one,' and did seem to set off some kind of earthquake in a land not really known for those… Let’s just say I never liked the damn thing, I knew it was bad, and this is ridiculous.”
The Little Banned Library is approximately one cubic foot and looks much like the old library building before it was burned down by a psychopath last spring.Except the front swung open so people could put books in it. The old library could not do that. They had a book drop for you to put books in.
