A few red shoulder hawks have nested near the Port Orange Regional Library in Florida and over the last week have begun dive bombing patrons. Six people have been attacked and three of them were injured with scratches to the head. Police recommend patrons used umbrellas when walking near the library.
Come'on, Florida. Is that all you got? Couple of violent birds protecting a nest? There's got to be more here, a Cops style bust a'comin full of methed out hawks running from a drunk animal control guy while Mama Hawk stands in the background crying with an egg on each hip yelling about "Where's my rent money, Hawky?" This only ends two ways, folks. Some rather normal for Florida individual is going to take a few snorts, grab a rifle, and try to have hawk for early Thanksgiving or they find bath salts in that nest.
