High School DxD (2012)

In a fight between angels, demons, and fallen angels stands one horny teenage jerk who keeps getting himself in trouble.

Banned

• 2014 - New Zealand - Listed as "objectionable" on the grounds that it "tends to promote and support the sexual exploitation of young persons. All of the young female characters are highly sexualised and fetishised. They are relentlessly depicted as nude or in limited sexualised clothing. Focus is made on their breasts and youthful bodies in such a way as to titillate and arouse the viewer. Their youthfulness is emphasised by the high school setting, their school uniforms and their engagement in high school activities. Episodes are separated by photo stills of the female characters sexually posing, reminiscent of adult pornographic material. The credits feature these characters performing strip tease. The scenes are constructed wholly for the sexual benefit of the viewer. The main purpose of this treatment is to reinforce the notion that young persons are sexually desirable and available. It encourages and legitimises the pursuit of young persons as viable adult sexual partners"

The Tin Drum (1979)

A young boy stops growing but keeps beating that goddamn drum. Just keeps on beating the drum and screaming.

• Originally banned in Ireland upon release, but allowed after a review

• 1980 - Ontario, Canada - banned as child pornography

• 1997 - Oklahoma - Local groups brought the case before Judge Richard Freeman. He was shown a lone scene. Under obscenty laws, all copies were seized from rental stores. Police went to people's houses who had the movie rented and demanded the copies, threatening procecution if they didnot. Michael Campfield, ACLU member, sued the police for infringing on his rights and illegal confication. In 2001, all cases were settled and the movies returned.

• 2000 - West Virginia - Challenged at George Washington Middle School in Eleanor due to the focus on gangs and gang fights.

• Book was banned by the Catholic Church and the author was excommunicated from the Greek Orthodox church

• September 1988 banned from Savannah, GA, New Orleans, LA; Oklahoma City, Santa Ana, CA upon release

• Unless otherwise stated, various countries banned the movie for blasphemy

• 1987 - Argentina, Mexico, Philippines, Turkey

• 1988 - Singapore, and Israel (who said it could offend christian population)
