Favorite Scenes
Let's be honest, there's no one "scene" in this movie that stands out over others because they all are entertaining in various degrees. Educational, absurd, or just interesting to look at, each scene in this documentary is cause for a squint while you figure out what is happening or a squint because you are grinning so loud. As my notes show, it can be a little silly.
Hallmark movie workshop - kinda fascinating how it breaks down, but also yeah, there would be a lot of rules like "be aspirational" in movies where irony does not exist.
Rome asking cops - Having been to Rome recently, I would not have approached the Guardia and expected to stay in the country. But hearing them think about the concrete of the area was fascinating
Gumbusters - Yes, there's an extended sequence featuring the guy that cleans gum off concrete. It's kinda great and the guy deserves all the love he has in his life unless he's a bad guy, then I retract this statement and condemn his soul to hell.
3100 race around a school - There's a cult kinda thing that has a 3,100 mile race around a block in a school that honestly looks like pure hell. Fascinating that it exists, but also proof that the human animal is capable of being talked into anything.
Kardashian - Random dinner with at least one Kardashian. I wasn't really paying attention because I was saying to no one in particular "there's no way they'll have an actual Kardash- holy shit."
Random notes - Honestly, so much happens in the back half of the movie I was just enjoying myself. Or the edible kicked in and I was on a ride. You be the judge.
Speaking of judges, the wildest turn might be the singer who gives out samples of liquor as a day job saying his girlfriend died and the girlfriend ended up being an actual judge. Or he was lying. Drugs are great.
