Murder Hornets Make Nest in Book Drop, Want DVDs

Circulation librarian Brenda discovered this week murder hornets have made a nest in the library book drop and demanded Season 3 of Game of Thrones.

Brenda went to open the book drop as part of this week's new "check the book drop" initiative. As she opened the aluminum door, several two-inch long flying death machines emerged. The murder hornets, also known as "Asian giant hornets" and "the fuck," then demanded Season 3 of the hit HBO television show Game of Thrones through an elaborate dance ritual. Brenda, fluent in various forms of insect communication, translated and told the violent critters she would see what she could do.

The circulation department of the library does not own a copy of Game of Thrones Season 3 due to a policy of not owning collections of TV series with bad endings. Brenda promised to acquire the season, but claimed it was just a lie. "I'm gonna get medieval on that book drop," she said.

For the last few months, the library has not been checking the book drop due to "all the gross books and stuff," the director said. When asked if this caused a pile up in books, the director shrugged and motioned toward a plant. "Does he care?" the director said. When asked about patron late fees due to materials not being checked in, the director again invited the plant to speak. It did not.

Brenda speculated that the murder hornets wished to check out the season due to the episode "Rains of Castamere." According to the librarian, "Some brutal shit goes down. Hornets like brutal shit."
